CAMPBELL, Donald I.
A resident of Cayuta passed away on Monday, May 9, 2016 at the age of 78. Don was born May 27, 1937 in Van Etten, NY, a son of the late Robert and Velma Clark Campbell. Don is preceded in death by his brothers, Stanley and Dennis Campbell. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 44 years, Mary Glosenger Campbell; children, Susan (Scott) Deemer, Sandy (Jay) Crane, Connie Campbell, Douglas Campbell, and Steven (Kathy) Terrill; thirteen grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; brothers, George (Carol) Campbell, Carl (Susan) Campbell, and Mike (Carol) Campbell; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Don retired after 31 years from Cornell in 1993 as a Forester in the Arnot Forest. He was also very involved in Amateur Radio, volunteering at public service events and emergencies. His call sign was N2RHX. Don was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother. He will be deeply missed and in our hearts forever. Family and friends are invited to Don’s Celebration of Life at First United Methodist Church, 1034 W. Broad St, Horseheads, NY on Friday, May 13, 2016 at 11AM.
