Obituary for Blanche Hoey

HOEY, Blanche J.
of Horseheads went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 13, 2017 at the age of 87. Blanche was born April 23, 1929 in Providence, RI, a daughter to the late Joseph and Amelia Bickowska Bart. Blanche was preceded in death by her husband Peter Hoey and sister of the late Amelia DuPerry, Anna Thurber, Vito and Joseph Bart. She is survived by her sister Genevieve McLellan, brother Charles Bart, his wife Claire and sister-in-law Kay Bart of RI; and many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. Blanche was an incredible kind, generous Aunt and person. She was loved by everyone who knew her. She had a beautiful smile and infectious laugh and always had a good joke to tell. We all know how much Blanche loved animals, especially her dog Pammy and her cat Boomba. She had wonderful friends that always brought an abundance of happiness to her life. The family will welcome relatives and friends to St. Mary Our Mother Church, 816 W. Broad St., Horseheads, NY on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 10AM. She will be laid to rest alongside her husband at Woodlawn Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Those wishing to remember Blanche please consider memorial contributions to an Animal Shelter of your choice or St. Mary Our Mother Church in her memory.
