BRINTHAUPT, Suzanne C.
of Big Flats passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at the age of 79. Suzie was born July 9, 1938 in Manlius, NY, only daughter to the late DeForest and Dorothy Earl Morgan. She was a graduate of Camden Central School and Elmira College, class of 1959. She is survived by her loving husband, Mark R. Brinthaupt Jr.; her children, Elizabeth C. (William) Field of Stafford, VA, Mark R. (Kelly) Brinthaupt III of Melbourne, FL, Douglas M. Brinthaupt of Bethlehem, PA, and Scott B. (Amy) Brinthaupt of Horseheads, NY; grandchildren, Kara, Karlie, Ashlee, and Erika, and several nieces and nephews. Suzie was blessed with 57 years of marriage and will be lovingly remembered for the care and thoughtfulness of raising such a large family. She retired as a teacher for the Horseheds Central School Districts after 34 years and was involved in a number of community organizations including the Big Flats Lions Club, Eastern Star, Girl Scouts, Horseheads Jayncees, Big Flats Community Days Committee, and Chemung County Junior Miss Scholarship program. She was also financial secretary of the Hillview United Methodist Church for many years. She is already missed by all that knew and loved her. The family will welcome relatives and friends to Sullivan’s Funeral Home, 365 E. Franklin St. at Rt. 13, Horseheads, NY on Monday, August 7, 2017 from 3PM-5PM, with a private Funeral Service to follow. In lieu of flowers those wishing to remember Suzie may make donations to CareFirst, 3805 Meads Creek Rd., Painted Post, NY 14870 or a charity of one’s choice.
