MADISON, Ann S.
of Erin, NY passed away on Friday morning, September 29, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 76. She was born on October 13, 1938 in Watkins Glen, NY daughter of Elizabeth Vincent deVries.
She is survived by her longtime companion and fiancé, Eugene Buckholtz; eldest daughter, Lori (Lee) Libby Murphy and her daughter, Michelle Ann Russo and her great granddaughter, Abigail Ray (of Sunshine), youngest daughter, Yvonne Gay Madison and her son, Joseph Michael Avery Jr.; siblings, Ronald Scholtisek, Kathleen Cappozzi, Joyce Arms and Glenn Scholtisek; best friend, Pam Landis and Geraldine Storch and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Ann was predeceased by her sister-in-law, Margaret Scholtisek, and brothers-in-law, Joseph Cappozzi and James Arms Sr. and lifelong friends Margaret and Robert Landis. Ann retired as a Corning Glass Associate after 35 years of employment. She was a true warrior who fought with dignity and grace, was a lover of nature, music, dancing and was devoted to her family throughout her life. The family will welcome relatives and friends to Legends, Elmira Height, NY on Sunday, October 1, 2017 at 2pm for a luncheon and time to remember.
