Condolence: So sorry to see this obituary. Betty was a very special volunteer at Arnot Ogden Medical Center. Her years with the telephone company were perfect prep for her role on the Information Desk. She was always so gracious and helpful. She didn't just excel with all the routine duties, she excelled with the special situations - whether the customer was young or old, needy or confused, troubled or irate, she always calmly handled it with just the right words and attitude. I truly admired her gift for defusing difficult people and making everyone else feel warmly welcomed and cared for. It was a pleasure to have her as such a long-time, faithful volunteer, and I will always remember her fondly.
